Swallow Tower
Built to provide a compensation for lost nests in a suburban village, this swallow house is about six metres high with a diameter of almost two metres. The design is based on an octagonal shape with the vertical cross section being based on two tangent circles which give the outlines of the roof and the supporting structure. While the swallows built their nests on the outside of the structure, the inner space can be accessed from the bottom and is well accepted by other cavity birds and bats.
